About the Department
The department of Electronic Instrumentation and Control Engineering started in 2003, equipped with modern computer -software and latest electronics based automation trainer-kits. Our students are placed in Internationally renowned and Navratna companies BARC, ONGC, SAIL, GAIL, IOCL, and software based companies TCS , Wipro, Tech Mahendra IBM HPCL, Engineers India Limited, Airport Authority of India, Indian Railway, NTPC, Honywell, EMERSION, SIEMENS, ABB, Rockwell Automation, L&T, GE, SUZLON, ESSAR, Reliance, Forbs Marshal, TCS, Microsoft, Tech Mahindra, IBM, National Instruments, Shree Cement, Ambuja, Solar & Thermal Power-plants, CAIRN Energy, Godavari Green Plant, Gas Arabian Services Saudi, Hindustan Zink, Enural Steel Industry Dubai, Jindal Steel, Metro Rail Services, PWD etc.
During initial semesters, department focus on the coding skills like ‘C’, Java, Python programming along with fundamentals of electronic circuits and basic electrical networks.We offer some-what flexible, choice based learning in diverse fields such as software, electronics, automation, robotics etc. and thus students have possibility of fine –tuning their career-prospects by choosing subjects in their interest-area.
Industrial-visits and sixty days industrial-internship are conducted in Automation, IOT and Process-based industries with participation in technical-festivals at IITs, for their placement augmentation. Our students are continuously holding merit- rank among top- ten in university result.
We focus on practical-training and hands -on practice sessions in the labs for skill development and encourage support students for developing their own projects in area of interest and latest technologies.
Further control engineering, microprocessors, sensors, logic design and computer networking are prominent subjects being taught. In the final year, the students are exposed to new technologies like VLSI Design, Biomedical Engineering, Plant Automation and Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks. Right from first semester, the students are trained- practically in PCB designing, automatic PCB fabrication and development of small electronic automation projects based on their PCBs. We endeavor to impart knowledge and skill to engineering graduates who shine in their career and boost the economic growth through best technological-solutions for the society and industries.
